"Night Rain At Portland Head Light"
This scene captures a heavy surf crashing against tidal rocks as the
oldest and most famous lighthouse in the country shines it's warning light into
the Atlantic. I made the sketches and took photographs one October
afternoon between rain squalls. Second in the Portland Series.

The day is sunny with fast moving clouds. Sailors enjoy Maine's "High
Summer" with the Portland Head Light as a back drop. I see many boats from
Maine and New England sailing the warm waters of the Caribbean during the fall
and winter months. Sixth in the Portland Series.
