"Winter Fields"
I was traveling along winding country roads one late winter's afternoon. As the sun was setting off to the right, these barns caught the last rays of the sun. I was able to quickly work up a good sketch with color notes there and bring "Winter Fields" to life later in the studio. The ending to a great day of painting.
Signed, numbered, limited edition print of 350.

"Down East Village"
This painting came from a number of sketches and studies I made of numerous island harbors along the coast of Maine. It is a gathering from many sketches to make my ideal island village. Enjoy.
Signed, numbered, limited edition print of 750.

The gentleman who lived here is gone now and so is his home. This print is all that remains. The farm was located on Route 1, near Jewel Crossing in Monticello, Maine.

"Winter Walk"

It was a late winter afternoon in Portland, I was finishing a sketch of the steps leading down from Monument Square leading in the direction of the Old Port. The monument and clock are in the background. Street lights had just come to life when an elegantly dressed woman descended the stairs. Perfect timing. Seventh in the Portland Series.
Signed, numbered, limited edition print of 750.

"Winter Blue Jays"

I made the studies for this scene from sketches of the resident jays near my feeder. The red highbush cranberries turn a bright red by mid-winter and attract many birds. By late winter when the berries are more tender due to the many thawings and freezing, the birds find a colorful meal waiting to be readily eaten.

Signed, numbered, limited edition print of 221.
